Futuristic homes for tomorrow’s lifestyle

WITH property prices ever increasing on Penang island, many young families and working professionals are turning to the mainland to set up roots.

The rapidly developing Batu Kawan corridor in southern Seberang Prai is a popular choice with its good infrastructure, amenities and vast job opportunities.

One of the more notable residential developments taking shape here is Anggun Residences, located right next to the Design Village Outlet Mall, and a short drive away from the Batu Kawan Industrial Park.

It is undertaken by PE Development (Penang) Sdn Bhd – the real estate arm of Pansar Group that built Design Village and are known for its extensive retail developments in Sarawak.

Rising 35 storeys, Anggun Residences has a total of 496 units in four different layouts ranging in size from 1,045sq ft to 1,400sq ft.

The indicative prices start from RM651,000.

The developer’s aim was to give buyers “an extraordinary residence beyond expectations” through the incorporation of futuristic features.

Factors like working from home, sustainability and health influenced the design.

Anggun Residences is the first development in Malaysia to feature Hyundai “air touch” elevators that utilised motion sensors instead of regular buttons.

This means one can call for the lift or choose a particular floor using only hand gestures, like hovering a finger. With no need for surface contact, it is more hygienic.

There are also electric vehicle charging stations equipped with three-phase 32A fast chargers that can quickly and efficiently charge vehicles at 22kW.

An automated waste management system uses vacuum technology to keep garbage odours at bay.

Anggun Residences was also designed around the “condotel” concept, giving it over 70 different recreational facilities at ground, podium and rooftop levels – including a 50m swimming pool, sky bar and dining area, starry tunnel and more.

Inside the units, typical ones feature three bedrooms and two bathrooms each. There is also a dual-key option with an additional studio suite with an attached bathroom. All types have column-free, beam-free layouts to maximise space and allow greater interior design possibilities.

Units also feature wall-to-wall windows that afford residents expansive panoramic views, including corner windows at the living area. All bedrooms face outwards to welcome healthy doses of sunshine, ensuring an airy ambience.

The master bedrooms are designed to accommodate a built-in wardrobe and window bench with space to spare, while the secondary bedrooms can all fit a queen-sized bed.

Whether it is for self-stay or investment purposes, Anggun Residences is a promising choice considering the nearby Batu Kawan Industrial Park is seeing more and more multinational companies setting up manufacturing plants and creating thousands of job opportunities.
